Modern Shelves in my Office

Hello there... just a quick update from my last post about my office.
I ended up ordering these two smaller shelf units.
They were half price of what I had been looking at.

And narrower... which works better with the space.
I love the barnwood finish and the modern style.
I will be adding storage bins soon... but for now they have a bit of pretty.
Here is the link if you want to order them.
 $59 from Walmart

Been busy with my job and the girls.
My parents are coming for a visit this weekend.
I am missing them, its been since Christmas.

Hope all is well....Brooke

New Rug In My Pretty Home Office...

This post is a bit overdue...
I ordered this rug before Christmas and have been in love with it.
But I never shared it on the blog.
This is a Wayfair rug called Castleford Beige.
Mine is an 10 by 12... I love how large it is.
Plus I got it on sale for less than $100!
Recently I have added a few Spring touches...
Including a new wreath...

The After Christmas Fireplace...

So not all of my Christmas is put away...
but a good portion of it is.

After the holidays my mantle looked a bit bare....
If you want to how I had it... CLICK HERE.

I don't want a ton of decor here, but something....
I have big plans for some large lanterns... but as of yet...
I am making do with what I have on hand.

Not So Much A Dining Room....

Hello again dear friends...
Yes, it has been a bit since I posted!
Fall is a busy time with my girls and family.

Today I wanted to share my dining room.
It is right by the front door as you enter our home.
But I did not need a dining room....
So what did I do???
It's a pretty office/entry now.

New Wall Clock, The Fireplace and Great Room....

Just a quick update today...
My hubby got the big wall clock hung for me...
I am loving it!
I found it at Ashely Furniture when we ordered the new couch.
It should be coming any day now...
It will be going in the study, the room with the pretty windows.
I have the wires hidden on the fireplace now.
Were not hanging the TV, it might be replaced with a larger one.
I am looking for two lanterns for each side of the TV.

New Computer and My Vintage Desk

Yes... another new post from me!
I've been on a roll this week.
Part of it is I got a new computer.... after 7-8 years nursing my old desktop.
I know, it was a miracle it lasted that long.
But I now have upgraded... to a touch screen desktop.

The Perfect Floor Lamp....

Yes, I've been shopping.
Guilty.
But I will tell you... I needed it!
ya...ya... I know.
The little rental living room is so dark during the day.
I am missing all my natural light.
My last floor lamp broke in the move....
So I've been on the hunt for a few months.

When we moved down here and I thought I would be a die hard HomeGoods gal.
Don't get me wrong... you can get me in there any day and I will find something.

But Kirkland's has my heart...♥
And it's where I found my perfect floor lamp.

It has the prefect amount of distressing.
And it is HUGE!
68 inches tall... that's almost 6 ft!
