Vintage Blues in the Great Room

Welcome back... two posts in a week!

I've made a few simple changes in the great room lately.

Been adding more denim blues... which I cannot get enough of.

It all started with my rug and curtains....

I love how warm and homey this room is becoming.
It is a HUGE space with 10 foot ceilings.
I want it to be comfortable and welcoming.

Spring Hutch & Dining Area

 Welcome back!
I hope your having a good week so far.
Today I am sharing my antique hutch with some Spring touches.

I am keeping things light and simple in the new house.

I love all the deep blues, but pretty much everything else is neutrals.

Refresh of Rustic Shelves

 Hello again...

I am continuing my after Christmas decorating.

My hubby made me these shelves in the niche before the holidays.

All Is Merry and Bright

Happy Holidays Dear Friends...

Yes, I know I've been absent for quite a bit.

I had to replace my digital camera at a bad time for bloggers.

But we are all set now... and I hope to see you more often again.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

We certainly did.

New Rustic Shelves in the Great Room

 Welcome back my dear friends.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!

My hubby and I are off much of this week.

Yesterday we started several DIY projects.

I am so excited to say my reclaimed looking shelves are done!

Not So Much A Dining Room....

Hello again dear friends...

Yes, it has been a bit since I posted!

Fall is a busy time with my girls and family.

Today I wanted to share my dining room.

It is right by the front door as you enter our home.

But I did not need a dining room....

So what did I do???

It's a pretty office/entry now.

Sideboard and Butler's Pantry - Fall Decor

I shared photos of the great room... but you have not seen much of the entry area.

So today we can take a closer look...

Feeling Like Home....

Hello again and thanks so much for your lovely comments...

These are some photos from about a week ago I shared on FB.

Things have changed a bit since then... but it will give you a look around.

We are loving the new house, it has exceeded our expectations.

{Repurposed Furniture} Sweet Vintage Dresser

We've had much more spare time since selling our farmhouse...

And waiting on the new house to be done.

Spare time is not a good thing for me.

I think of too many things I want to be doing.

This is what I found last week.

This lovely vintage girl with a really bad paint job.

And she was CHEAP.... forty bucks cheap.

Do we have room for a project... no.

Do we have any room to store it... no.

But she came home with us.

{Vintage Style} Treasures On The Sideboard

I shared a little glimpse of this last week...
But wanted to give you a closer look at the sideboard.

New Computer and My Vintage Desk

Yes... another new post from me!
I've been on a roll this week.

Part of it is I got a new computer.... after 7-8 years nursing my old desktop.

I know, it was a miracle it lasted that long.

But I now have upgraded... to a touch screen desktop.

{Vintage Style} Follow Your Heart

Hello again and welcome back...

This has been a busy week here in Alabama.

We hope to start the build in the next few days.

Possibly as early as beginning of next week.

Praying for dry weather for a few days.

{Vintage Style} Wire Wrapped Vases

 Good morning and welcome back...

Yes, I finally am going to start posting some pretty things again.

I know building homes is fun... but decorating is my thing.

Yesterday Morgan and I went to Decatur, AL to the

Vintage Market Days of North Alabama

Welcome To Several New Followers....

When I opened my email this morning I was so happy...

To see so many new follower requests!

I have missed blogging so much.

But some days with us in the rental...

it feels like a hotel room.

Not  the pretty, homey spaces I like to share.

But soon, very soon... I hope to be settled into our new home.

And sharing all the spaces and ideas.
