We've had much more spare time since selling our farmhouse...
And waiting on the new house to be done.
Spare time is not a good thing for me.
I think of too many things I want to be doing.
This is what I found last week.
This lovely vintage girl with a really bad paint job.
And she was CHEAP.... forty bucks cheap.
Do we have room for a project... no.
Do we have any room to store it... no.
But she came home with us.
Morgan, my 15 yr old is my painter.
She tells me to just stay out of the way.
She has been wanting to paint something for months.
This will be going in her new room.
The color she chose is a very light grey.
And it looks white in photos.
We may end up darkening it a bit with some wax.
But I loved the hardware that it came with.
It is a little worn in places.
But I think it adds character.
Most of my stuff is like that!
For now it is in the dining area of the rental.
As I said... this place is full to the brim!
That house can't be done soon enough...
I got an email this morning about more new things to repurpose.
You think my hubby will let me rent a 2nd garage?

That turned out so sweet! I am right there with you on not being able to do things. We found out yesterday that our trusses and lumber should arrive on site by the end of next week along with the framing crew!!
ReplyDeleteShe did a great job!!!
ReplyDeleteThat dresser is so cute! And no way would it be that inexpensive in my neck of the woods. I'd say $100 easy. Prices here have gotten ridiculous! Even craigslist and peddler's mall; the asking prices have become so silly. It makes more sense to buy new.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have a painter in the house.
Love the color...turned out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
