New Computer and My Vintage Desk

Yes... another new post from me!
I've been on a roll this week.
Part of it is I got a new computer.... after 7-8 years nursing my old desktop.
I know, it was a miracle it lasted that long.
But I now have upgraded... to a touch screen desktop.

I am a little old fashioned, but to blog and edit photos I want a good monitor.
So after looking a bit I decided on a entry level Lenovo AIO 700.
I love it so far.
No tower and no cords!
Everything is in the monitor like a tablet or laptop.
It has all the ports and SD card for my editing.
It is very crisp, and I love the touch screen.
Even the speakers are built in and work well.
I listen to music while I'm online.

It was on sale for about $500, which was less than
what we paid for my desktop years ago.

Is it the best of the best?
No, probably not... but I'm really liking it.

Pics are not great, just shot a few for a quick post.
Everything looks yellow in this apartment.
I miss my natural light!

I also made the text larger on the blog.
I don't know if it was my new monitor or what.
But it looked a bit hard to read.
So now... I hope it is better!

  1. I really enjoy seeing the little spaces you showcase. I was wondering where you find these treasures without paying through the teeth for them?

  2. Thanks so much! I use to garage sale for years when the girls were little. Then I shopped at Goodwill around Indiana, but the prices are going up in Goodwill. I still look for the little junk stores. Not antiques per say. But the kind you never know what you will fine. Ask for a bargin, like fill a bag for so much on glassware or bundles. I have been very lucky by just asking. Also ask to leave your phone number if a price drops. Sometimes it might really pay off on furniture. Say something like if it has not sold in 90 days I will pay XXX amount. They need to sell to pay the rent on booths, you might just get a deal.

  3. Thank you so much for the suggestions; especially on giving a price for something I like with my contact info if it isn't sold in 90 days. My daughter calls and negotiates sometimes, but I like the time frame you give them.
I've moved to a new county in the south and the Goodwills are just ... sad. But I plan on checking out some antique shops this summer.
Thank you again and I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day.
